Four of Llandaff North’s Women’s players have been selected for the 2015 Six Nations squad. The four players have previously represented Wales and have gained 85 caps between them. Amy Day gained her 50th cap in France in the World Cup and has represented Wales an impressive 54 times.
Amy stated that it’s a massive honour to represent her country and that she cannot wait to take the field this Sunday against England. Jenny Hawkins, Laurie Harris and Robyn Wilkins all made their debuts last year against Italy in the opening game of the 2014 tournament.
When Laurie was asked about the experience she agreed that it is a privilege to be representing Welsh Women’s rugby in this six nations campaign, she described an amazing buzz around the camp for this weekend’s game against England.
Jenny describes the whole experience as incredible. With all the hard work and the effort the girls have put in over the last few months Robyn stated how the girls are keen to get the campaign underway and put into practice what they have learnt.
The home fixtures are held in St Helens RFC, Swansea, Wales play England on Sunday 8th February at 2:30pm and Ireland at home on the 15th of March at 12pm.
