Llandaff North u16 v Pentyrch u16 01/02/2015

IMG_9166-0.JPGOn a bitterly cold and windy morning Pentyrch arrived confident, possibly assuming they had an easy game ahead given their home form.

They were rudely awakened in the first minute as we attacked from the kick-off and from a maul 5 meters from their line Jay (B) went blind and dived over to score. Ten minutes later Nathan effected a kick and chase with Sean scoring. Pentyrch then had their best period of the game and broke through our defence but Dylan carefully monitored their player and tackled at the right moment to take the player into touch!

On the stroke of half-time they scored from a penalty. 10-3 up.

The first ten minutes of the second half were evenly balanced until Jake charged through three players to score under the posts with Dylan converting.

Feb 1st. Llandaff North u16 17-3 Pentyrch u16

Scorers :- Tries Jay (B) / Sean / Jake / Conv Dylan

HIGHLIGHTS :- The overall play. whilst their heavier Pack was superior in the scrum, our Pack were by far the better in the loose. Our Backs kept charging through but special mention must be made of Dylan’s
try-saving tackle!
