This definition of ‘observe’ accurately describes the first half performance against an excellent Penarth team, Penarth’s dominance at the breakdown and their slick passing along their back line resulted in a first half score of 8-0 try count.
Strong words at half time and nearly a complete change of team by Penarth unsettled our hosts and allowed Llandaf North access to quality ball at the breakdown and with some slick passing of our own permitted Sam the space to run in two quick tries. Suddenly, the team stepped up in defence and pressured Penarth into a number of handling mistakes, Chelsea quickly took advantage of these rare errors and ran in two tries to match Sam’s try count. Penarth made several changes to bolster their team and our space on the field disappeared, Sion scored a great try but unfortunately we ran out of time and energy. The match finished 8-5 to our hosts but the team displayed great courage in coming back in the second half.
