Andy Mackie
Passed Away 25/05/2013

Following the incredibly sad news that Andy Mackie former Liberton RFC player has passed away, LNRSSC Rugby Director Jeff Cruise would like to make the following statement.

“Andy Mackie, died Saturday night, 25th May.

Andy was a one of the most friendly guys you could meet. One of the very first Liberton friends I had, all those years ago. Always smiling and happy, a good word for everyone, I don’t think I ever heard a bad word from him (apart from the odd swear word on the pitch maybe!)

My phone & Facebook has been inundated with calls and messages since the tragic news got out, which just goes to show how popular and loved the Big Man was.

Rest in Peace Andy, take care of your mum up there, we all know you’ll be looking down on us, willing Liberton to beat The North again!!

The Libby/North games will never be the same.

Luv u Big Man! x “
