Despite the inclement weather many supporters travelled to Penarth as both of our teams were playing against Old Penarthians.
HOWEVER, 99.9 % of them were watching the 1sts with, yours truly, keeping the faith with his regular team.
UNFORTUNATELY, as the firsts were short of coaches and physios they borrowed ours, with the result that your intrepid scribe had to run the line!
(Dubbs’ knee still hurting?) I did warn the Referee that he had the oldest lines-man in Wales!
Whilst I did manage to keep up with the play, (waving my trusty brolly –flag on other side of pitch ) fortunately, the majority of the play was on the other side of the pitch.!!
No doubt you may have noticed that my comments on the match itself are rather sparse due to the fact that our team, whilst never giving up, were under the cosh from start to finish, and it was only some stout defending that kept their score to 27 pts.
WE had the last word with a good passing movement seeing Darren cross the line.
Final Score: Old Penarthians 2nds 27-5 Llandaff North 2nds.
Scorer : Darren
Hard luck lads — you missed a few of your regular players.
