A drizzly Hailey park hosted premiership side Llandaff North Ladies first fixture of the super cup to division 1 side Barry Bombettes.
The Bombettes strong runners tested the Norths defence for multiple phases, but the defence was strong enough to regain possession and score using the pace and agility from the backs. The Bombettes provided competitive scrummaging and clean rucking and gave some competition to the premiership side.
North’s lack of discipline caused multiple penalties which resulted in two tries to the away side. In the second half it was Llandaffs North experience that held them through the game with more tries from the back line and a driving maul from the pack. The boot of the number 10 Amberely Ruck topped up the score leaving a victory for North Lades 49-10.
