Buoyant from last week’s performance against Senghenydd RFC, the team had a great mid week training and warm up session.

Gilfach Goch kicked off; the ball was caught by Joe who without any hesitation ran straight towards their back line, breaking one tackle and with explicit timing, Joe passed the ball to Sam who sprinted in for a quick try. Big Ted kicked long from the restart allowing the likes of Joe, Alex and Sam the chance to apply the pressure in Gilfach’s half, quick ball from a ruck was picked up by Ioan and passed to Alex who seemed to be gliding over the sticky surface another a try!.

More pressure close to Gilfach’s line resulted in a debutant try for Dylan; nobody was going to stop him with a great low body position. Llandaf North were now rampant with another try by Sam, the North were really benefiting from pressure after the lineout and the opposition players with the ball were being driven backwards! this pressure was rewarded by Ioan crashing over for a try. The flood gates opened and further tries by Aneurin, Joe, Alex, Sam and a final one from Ioan wrapped a tremendous first half team performance. The Match was stopped at this point.

Final Score 50-0
