This Sunday, three players from Llandaff North’s league winning women’s team will be making their debut for Wales against Italy in the first match of this year’s Six Nations Championship. Robyn Wilkins, Laurie Harries and Jenny Hawkins will join previously capped North players Amy Day, Sioned Harries and Catrina Nicholas in the starting lineup.

In discussion with the WRU newsroom, Wales Head Coach Rhys Edwards placed complete faith in his decision to start three uncapped players at the beginning of the campaign, “They are selected on merit,” he said. “All three have played well at both club and regional level and deserve their chance.”

Congratulations to all six players on their international selections. The match kicks off at 1pm this Sunday at Talbot Athletic Ground. Why not pop along and show your support?
