02/01/2011: Fairwater 1st XV vs Llandaff North 1st XV
Fairwater 8 – 21 Llandaff North
After a run of canceled games, there couldn’t have been a better fixture than a Sunday afternoon dust up, against local rivals Fairwater. The away team could not have come into this fixture better prepared, with outstanding commitment to training, through terrible weather conditions.
The autumn internationals kicked off with a bang on the weekend, but after a sterling effort in the first half Wales were unable to beat the wallabies once again. The English were never likely to beat the All Blacks but put up a real fight that’s sure to stand them in good stead for the rest of November games, and makes them a force to be reckoned with come the six nations. Ireland were a goal kick away from a historic win against world champs at the new Lansdowne Rd. Thanks to everyone who came to the north on Saturday to watch the games and enjoy some of the fantastic Felinfoel ale now on sale at the club.
23/10/2010: Llanishen 1st XV vs Llandaff North 1st XV
The Norths difficult start to the season continued this weekend after a disappointing trip to Llanishen on Saturday. Sporting their new home strip, a redesign of the original (and in this reporters opinion, the BEST) black and Amber stripes, the north boys certainly looked the better side!
09/10/2010 : Abercynnon 1st XV vs Llandaff North 1st XV
A disappointing defeat this weekend for the North after what was a hard fought battle for all involved. Llandaff North were playing against a very strong wind in the first half and did soak up a lot of pressure but discipline cost us and kept the score board ticking over for Abercynnon. Some unlucky timing ment Pontypridd today had a cup game and dual registered Gunter at no 10 controlled the game for them and got their back line moving, another time the result may well have been a lot different.
